The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Oluwasegun Williams as the Senior Special Assistant for Urban Environment.

Williams brings over two decades of expertise in the built environment, marking a pivotal moment for the state’s urban development effort.

Oluwasegun Williams’ journey started in 2002 as an Administrative Personnel in the Lands Bureau, showcasing dedication and skill. His outstanding performance led to subsequent roles, notably as the Personal Assistant to the General Manager at the Lagos State Waterfront and Tourism Development Corporation.

During this tenure, he played a vital role in the successful implementation of the Okunde Blue Waters scheme for waterfront development, solidifying his reputation for effective project management.

Continuing his ascent, Williams assumed the position of Personal Assistant to the Honourable Commissioner at the Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development in June 2004. His team’s efforts were instrumental in the redevelopment of Oyingbo and Tejuosho Market.

Additionally, they played a pivotal role in introducing the Infrastructural Development Charges (IDC) to accommodate Lagos’ growth towards Mega City status.

Diverse Experience in Civil Service
In November 2006, Oluwasegun Williams broadened his experience by serving as the Personal Assistant to the Honourable Commissioner at the Lagos State Ministry of Housing.

Mr. Williams transitioned to the private sector, becoming the Managing Director at Constant Gold Ventures Limited, where he steered the consulting company to success, establishing it as a renowned consultancy firm within the built environment.

Oluwasegun Williams is an active member of prestigious professional bodies; Nigeria Institute of Management Consultants and holding, Chartered Associate of the Chartered Institute of Environmental, Health, and Safety in Nevada, USA.
