…MD/CEO, Oluwaseun Faleye Leads Repositioning Efforts to Enhance Workforce Welfare

The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has reaffirmed its commitment to increasing the enrollment of employers across various sectors into its Employees Compensation Scheme (ECS). The agency also aims to expand the utilization of funds for the benefit of workers who are covered under the scheme.

During a working visit to the FCT and Mararaba branches of the agency in Abuja, the Executive Director of Operations, Mrs. Mojisolaoluwa Ali-Macaulay, emphasized that the new executive management, led by Managing Director/CEO Oluwaseun Faleye, is focused on repositioning the NSITF in accordance with the directives of President Bola Tinubu.

“This administration, led by a deeply knowledgeable lawyer with an excellent pedigree in corporate finance, Oluwaseun Faleye, was painstakingly selected by the President to inject new blood into the NSITF, knowing the core place it occupies in promoting a healthy national workforce,” Ali-Macaulay stated.

She highlighted the NSITF’s primary obligation of workplace safety and its role in holding contributions from public and private employers in trust. These contributions are used to compensate employees who suffer injuries, disabilities, or diseases in the course of their work, as well as their dependents in cases of work-related fatalities.

“We have saddled ourselves with the onerous task of making sure that this is fully achieved by unleashing the potentials of the Fund in stakeholder advocacy to get more employers of labour in all sectors to enroll and then expand the percentage of the utilization of these funds for the intended worker-beneficiaries,” Ali-Macaulay added.

She also noted the importance of staff welfare at the NSITF, praising the efforts of workers in the agency’s 57 branches and 12 regions across the country who ensure the effective implementation of the ECS.

“I bring you good tidings from the Managing Director/CEO and the Executive Management that henceforth, the welfare of the staff of the NSITF is placed at the frontline,” Ali-Macaulay said, assuring staff that their efforts would be recognized and rewarded under the current leadership.
