It is no longer news that Dr. Obawale Adebisi lost the contest for a seat in the House of representatives. Despite the fact that he got a loss, I should like to thank all those that stood by him during the contest.

As Frank A. Clark rightly said, “if a fellow is not thankful for what he has got” or failed to get, “he is not likely to be thankful for what he is going to get.”

Also,”gratitude turns what we have into enough.” It is on this note, I want to thank all those that stood by us during the contest.

First, i should like to thank Chief Adebisi Akande, the Asiwaju of Ila-orangun for making the ticket possible. In the tradition of core progressive, Baba had strongly felt that, a very loyal party member should fly the flag of the party in the election. Aside, in this contest, baba did give the necessary support in all ramifications. May the good Lord continue to strengthen you sir. I should also like to thank all baba’s family members for their immense and amazing support. May God continue to bless you all. My gratitude also goes to Hon. Olufemi Fakeye for his support and the making of the ticket. May the good Lord continue to bless you.

To the APC leadership in all the three local governments, I say a big thank you to you all. Be assured that you will never labour in vain. And to the teeming sympathisers and members of APC I give my bunch of gratitude. In the course of this election, lives have been lost, many have been injured and many innocent members have been harassed , a good number were arbitrarily arrested and detained. In fact, as I was writing this piece, I was concurrently talking to the police in Osogbo to release two APC members who were wrongly labelled. May the good Lord continue to bless you all. It is said that, there is time and season for everything in life. Thus, take this as one phase that will pass away.
That is what makes democracy thick: alternation of power.

Further still, my appreciation also goes to all the members of our immediate and extended families who traveled from different parts of the country to cast their votes for Wale. I recognize your sacrifice in all ramifications. May one love continue to bind us together. I should also like to salute Wale’s friends in and outside the country for their moral support. I appreciate your loyalty in friendship.

More specifically, I should also like to thank all the sons and daughters of Abalagemo and Aseda compounds for their support. I appreciate the fact that, it is always hard to shift party loyalty yet, because of the love you have for us, you gave your support. May God bless you all.

And to the winner of the election, Hon. Clement Akanni, I say congratulations.

Finally, I should like to thank Obawale, for not only representing his party very well in this contest, but for also being a good ambassador of the family. As student mystic, you are aware that nothing is lost in nature . You have sown good seeds and I pray that, in the fullness of time you shall reap aplenty.
