In a remarkable demonstration of its dedication to social responsibility and community engagement, the Chelsea Nigeria Supporters Club has once again underscored its commitment to philanthropy with a humanitarian visit to Modupe Cole Memorial Childcare and Treatment Home, Akoka, Lagos.
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, executives and members of the supporters club, led by the president, Mr Ademola Olanrewaju, gathered at the home located at No. 1 St. Finbarrs Road, Pako Bus Stop, along University of Lagos road, where they presented a variety of essential supplies, including food items and stationery materials, to the children and management of the institution.
During the presentation, the President of the Chelsea Nigeria Supporters Club, Mr. Ademola Olanrewaju, speaking on behalf of the club, expressed deep appreciation to the management and caregivers at the home for their selfless devotion to nurturing and supporting children with special needs. He described their work as sacrificial, inspiring, and invaluable to society.
Mr. Olanrewaju further addressed the children of the home, offering words of encouragement and hope. “You must never give up on life because each of you is special and uniquely gifted. Your future is bright, and with the right support and determination, there is no limit to what you can achieve,” he said.
He noted that the outreach was not only a reflection of the club’s corporate social responsibility but also a clear demonstration of the values of unity, empathy, and care that define the global Chelsea football family. According to him, “As football supporters, we celebrate victories on the pitch, but it is in moments like these, when we can touch lives positively, that we truly score our greatest goals.”
The management of Modupe Cole Memorial Childcare and Treatment Home, in response, commended the gesture of the supporters’ club, acknowledging that the visit would bring joy and relief to the children, while also boosting the morale of staff who work tirelessly to provide care and support.
