DEMOCRACY DAY: NDA COMMEND PRESIDENT TINUBU FOR HIS REFORMS AND BALANCED APPOINTMENTS

Nigeria Diaspora for Asiwaju NDA, a foremost partisan support group, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold reforms and his balanced appointments so far.

The group’s Country Director Alh. Abiola Wasiu made this known while addressing news men in Abuja to commemorate this year democracy day celebrations. Alh. Abiola noted that President Tinubu should be commended for his bold policies and reforms. The removal of fuel subsidy, partial removal of power subsidy, and unification of our exchange rates are bold steps that only a large heart who has clarity of purpose can undertake.

Alh. Abiola recalled that similar things happened while President Tinubu was Lagos State Governor between 1999 and 2007 when he established many agencies and introduced many reforms, which some lagosians then considered obnoxious, but those agencies and reforms have turned to be the Lagos State lifewires. Lagos State is great today because of the pains of the past.

His appointments so far have been impeccable, youthful, religiously, and regionally balanced the NDA leader posited. Alh. Abiola commended President Tinubu for putting much thoughts and energy into this. This effort has calmed fray nerves. Now, Ohaneze, CAN, MURIC, and NSCIA are all happy and calm, unlike what we had in the past.

NDA Country Director ended the media parley by asking Nigerians to keep trusting the administration of President Tinubu and assured the public that the pains currently being experienced in terms of the high cost of living is temporary. The inflation rate will soon drop, and food prices will also crash in a short while, as President Tinubu is aware of these pains. He said that the federal government will soon roll out measures that will ensure soft life living.

Let not forget the essence of this celebration. It is a celebration of our troubled past. Our journey to democracy was filled with blood letting, pains, and cries. We must do everything to sustain this democracy.
