Flow FM 92.7 Donates Water Tank to Support Public Toilet Renovation in Ilorin

Flow FM 92.7 has contributed to improving hygiene in Onikonga Village, Ilorin South, Kwara State, by donating a 2,000-liter water tank to a public toilet renovation project. The tank, delivered on October 6, 2025, will provide running water to the four-unit facility, which is being upgraded with a modern water closet, tap, and shower. The improvements aim to enhance community well-being and reduce open defecation in the area.

The project is being led by NYSC corps member Joshua Adejare Adeyeye (State Code: KW/24C/0117) as part of his Community Development Service (CDS) program. Adeyeye initiated the renovation to provide a safer, more hygienic facility for residents and visitors, reflecting his dedication to improving local infrastructure.

The tank was collected by Mualim Abubakar Usman, the local imam, who represented the community in receiving the donation. Adejare Adeyeye expressed gratitude to Flow FM 92.7 for the support, describing their involvement as impactful and inspiring.

Imam Mualim Abubakar Usman, welcomed the initiative, praising NYSC corps member Joshua Adejare Adeyeye for taking practical steps to improve the community. He described the donation and renovation of the public toilet as a welcome development that would greatly benefit residents, noting that it was encouraging to see a young person dedicate time and effort to promoting hygiene and better public facilities in Onikonga Village. Imam Usman added that such efforts set a positive example for others to actively participate in the development of their communities.

The imam expressed gratitude to Flow FM 92.7 for supporting not just the NYSC corps member but also for actively participating in a project aimed at improving their community. He described it as remarkable to see a radio station that not only talks about positive impact but also takes part in making it a reality. He added that the youths in Onikonga Village enjoy listening to Flow FM because of its good music and engaging programs.
