The Managing Director of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Oluwaseun Faleye, has reaffirmed the commitment of the agency’s new leadership to quality service delivery as a strategic objective. Faleye made this declaration during a visit from the National Coordinator of the Service Compact with All Nigerians (SERVICOM), Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, who led an advocacy delegation to the NSITF headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Faleye outlined reforms already initiated to improve service efficiency and enhance transparency in the operations of the Fund. He assured the SERVICOM team that the NSITF would go “Above and Beyond” to ensure that beneficiaries of the Employees Compensation Scheme receive top-tier services.
In a statement issued by Nwachukwu Godson, the NSITF’s General Manager of Corporate Affairs, Faleye was quoted as saying, “Quality service delivery is at the core of what we intend to achieve in NSITF. We are fully committed to streamlining our operations to align with the highest standards of efficiency, which is essential for service delivery. We see SERVICOM as a key partner in this regard.”
He further emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Fund’s nodal officer, desk, and focal officers, along with other key departments, to ensure that their engagement with SERVICOM produces the desired improvements in service delivery.
Faleye also pledged to adopt the Fund’s updated Service Charter, which will be continuously reviewed to ensure it remains dynamic, rigorous, and interactive, serving as a foundational tool for evaluating NSITF’s services.
In her remarks, Mrs. Akajemeli stressed the importance of quality service delivery in public institutions, particularly in agencies like NSITF, which play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare of Nigerian workers. She called for a strong partnership to meet the expectations of stakeholders, including the beneficiaries of the Fund’s services.
Mrs. Akajemeli also encouraged NSITF to collaborate closely with SERVICOM in reviewing and optimizing its processes to align with global best practices. She emphasized that the visit aimed to foster collaboration to improve service delivery and enhance customer satisfaction across the Fund’s operations.
