Engr. Femi Sanni (Araba), Chairman of Araba Football Club and Flow FM 92.7, has congratulated Nigeria’s Flamingos and their head coach, Akeem Ishola Busari, on winning the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The Flamingos defeated Japan 2–1 in Rabat, Morocco, to become the first African team to win the tournament.

“Congratulations to our Flamingos. When Japan pulled a goal back and pushed for an equaliser, you held your nerve and fought for one another. I salute Awawu Bashiru and Oluebube Umejiaku for their goals, and every player whose hard work helped bring this trophy home.
“I am especially proud to celebrate Coach Akeem Ishola Busari, a son of Igbo-Owu in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. After losing their opening match, his team came back to win six games in a row. That response says a great deal about the players’ character and the belief he and his coaching staff kept alive in the squad.
“Coach Busari, your people in Igbo-Owu and across Kwara are proud of you. Young coaches here at home can look at what you have achieved and see how far their work can take them. And to every young girl watching the Flamingos and thinking, ‘I can do that too,’ we owe you a place to play, good coaches to learn from and a fair chance to compete.
“On behalf of Araba Football Club and Flow FM 92.7, I congratulate the players, Coach Busari, his coaching crew and the support staff. Thank you for making Kwara, Nigeria and Africa proud.”
