The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila has commiserated with the Oniru of Iru Kingdom in Lagos, Omogbolahan Lawal, over his mother’s death.

Alhaja Muinat Lawal-Akapo, Oba of Oniru’s mother, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 85.

Gbajabiamila said the late octogenarian was a community leader and mobilizer who contributed immensely to the development of her people.

As a mother, the speaker noted, the late Alhaja Muinat raised her children in the most respectful and responsible manner, which is why they have become pillars of society.

Gbajabiamila stated further that the late mother of the Oniru would be remembered as a woman of honour who brought joy to many homes.

Speaker Gbajabiamila, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, sent condolences to the Iru Kingdom over the loss.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Alhaja Muinat and prayed the Almighty Allah would reward her with Jannatul Firdaus.
