Lagos Government Removes Traders from Rail Tracks at Bolade

…Tokunbo Wahab Pledges Continued Action to Ensure Public Safety

Following a viral video circulating on social media, the Lagos State Government has taken swift action to remove traders operating along the rail tracks at Bolade, opposite Arena Shopping Complex.

The operation was carried out in conjunction with personnel from the Nigerian Army, Ikeja Cantonment, as part of the state’s commitment to safeguarding public safety and ensuring compliance with urban regulations.

The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, commended the collaborative efforts of the enforcement team and emphasized the government’s zero tolerance for activities that endanger lives or disrupt public infrastructure.

“We acted decisively in response to the viral video to address this clear violation of safety and environmental standards.” Wahab stated.

He assured residents that the Lagos State Government will continue to work with security agencies and other stakeholders to enforce regulations and prevent occurence of incidents.
