…As NELFUND expands across the country

The Managing Director and CEO of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr, met with the Executive Governor of Abia State, Mr. Alex Otti, on Thursday August 8, 2024 in Abuja. The meeting focused on forging a partnership between NELFUND and the Abia State government to benefit the state’s numerous tertiary institution students.

During their discussion, Mr. Sawyerr and Governor Otti explored ways to collaborate in ensuring that students from Abia State can fully access the opportunities provided by NELFUND. This partnership aims to alleviate the financial burdens faced by students and enhance their educational experiences.

Both leaders expressed optimism that this collaboration would empower students, enabling them to pursue higher education without the constraint of financial difficulties. The proposed partnership is expected to serve as a model for other states looking to support their students through innovative funding solutions as the fund seeks expansion across the country.
