The presidential campaign movement of the Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo/Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC) received a strong boost on Saturday, as over 6,000 Cement Transporters and Dealers Association in Lagos State endorsed their candidacies of both tickets.
Addressing the Leadership and members of the association, the Director General of the ICC, Mr. Tayo Ayinde appreciated the association for making out time to come, and for putting their resources together to support the mandate of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
He assured them of Government support in all their requests. Mr. Ayinde went on to educate the gathering on how to vote properly, pointing out the intricacies that surround the new voting system using the ‘BVAS’.
The Chairman of the ICC, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku appreciated the president of the association and went further to challenge them to go early to the polling units and vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president, and Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as Governor.
The National Chairman of the association Mr. Femi Johnson gave a brief background on why the association are fully ready to vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. He subsequently announced the endorsement of the association in the midst of cheers from the gathering.
The event was organized by the Directorate of Tradesmen and Artisans of the ICC.
