With the dearth of leaders within the youth space in Nigeria, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila has launched the gbajabiamila legislative mentorship initiative to enable leaders and prospective leaders skill up acquire necessary experience and learn from seasoned leaders in the fine art of becoming leaders themselves.
The LMI through its director, Dapo Oyewole, who is also a special assistant to the speaker as announced the on-boarding of its first cohort of leaders in training, stating that they had to review over 4000 application to arrive at the inaugural cohort.
The training programme will see the leaders in training go through 3 weeks of training as well as two weeks of embedded Internship in order to groom all-round leadership qualities in every member of the cohort.
The LMI is the brainchild of the Speaker of the House of representative Right Honourable Femi gbajabiamila founded in order to combat the problem of leadership particularly in the legislative space in Nigeria.
